Overview

The fundamental mission of the Research Library and Information Centre is to support drug discovery efforts by managing high-value services and disseminating validated scientific, technical and medical information to Merck scientists in a timely fashion.

Understanding and anticipating research needs and challenges is vital in transforming information into new knowledge. The Research Library's team of information specialists plays an important role in keeping abreast of developments and changes in today's fast-paced world of information science and technology.

The research library's staff works at the leading edge of the information business to provide comprehensive support to the scientists of the Merck Frosst Centre for Therapeutic Research.
