In the event of an asthma flare-up, it is important for everyone involved in your child's care to know exactly what to do. Therefore, your child should have an Asthma Action Plan, This is your child's personal program for managing his or her asthma from home. It will also include a strategy of what to do if the asthma gets out of control. Once your doctor has completed the asthma action plan, post or store it in a convenient, easy-to-remember place — such as on the refrigerator or by the telephone and give copies of it to teachers, school nurse, gym teacher, or anyone else who takes care of your child.
